Tom Peditto of Local Galaxy

From the first time I heard the sounds of a dialup connection circa 1996, I knew that web technologies would be my career calling card.

Now, with more than 20 years developing hundreds of web properties, many under my agency, Local Galaxy, I offer a unique skill set to prospective collaborators and project leaders.

My industry concentration has included publishing, entertainment, health services and finance.

My technical skills include, digital strategy, css – HTML5, front-end development, search engine marketing, small business consulting, interface design, wordpress consulting, project management, google analytics.

My interests include rock and roll, including performing on many infamous lower east side Rock n Roll club stages, from a date, ahem, not too long ago. I am also an avid foodie, world traveler, Philadelphia sports fan and documentary lover.

I began my career in digital design with Shanachie Entertainment in 1998.

Later in 1998, I joined Wind-Up Records marketing staff.  I developed digital marketing strategies for recording artist Creed. Real Networks declared of Wind-Up, “More than any other record label, Web-savvy Wind-Up Records has embraced the Internet as a core-marketing vehicle.” The Los Angeles Times noted, “ the Internet campaign set up by the band’s indie label, Wind-Up Entertainment, is a model for how to spread the word…”

Following Wind-Up, In 1999 I led development of the concert listings website Gigmania. As Co-Founder and Vice President, I  developed and designed the website and brand.

Gigmania garnered recognition from major Press outlets including “Site of the Day” from USA Today and Etour.com, and was ranked as the #1 music site online by Y2G/Fubu. The Industry Standard called Gigmania “An essential music resource.”

I moved onto international publishing company M. Shanken Communications and handled website production including advanced html and design of WineSpectator.com and CigarAficionado.com. I consulted on digital solutions and implementation and managed design and production including streaming video implementation, and front-end design.

In 2002, I founded and ran full time, digital agency Local Galaxy and the rest is history.
